I'm so lonely that I'm kissing this page
My goodness what a feeling
I just want to hold someone in my arms
What I need is a forbidden paradise
Someone else must be holding the key
The female voice is such a masterpiece
It's making my night melt away
Further delaying the irony that I'm still alone
I could talk for hours to a girl
Listen and I mean really listen to them
Share experiences and stories
Laugh in the darkness under a blanket of stars
I've only done that one time in my life
New Mexico will always be in my heart
What happens in a week can last a lifetime
But I can't spread just one week over my lifetime
Surly there is another dove
Surly when I am older there will be another dove
Times are tough on my rooftop this evening
There is enough room for two people
I'm letting this struggle consume me
I'm searching for you again, love
I have exhausted myself singing in the dark
Satisfy me before I get on my knees
I will beg if you keep your hiding from me

Through the red-litten windows see
Vast forms, that move fantastically
To a discordant melody,
While, like a ghastly rapid river,
Through the pale door
A hideous throng rush out forever
And laugh--but smile no more.
~E. A. Poe

That's amazing! Your words aren't even simply words! I've never seen poetry that actually made me feel so... I don't even know! Why didn't I know you were so gifted?!

Jerry Husk died on Aug. 1st, 2008. I wish I'd known him better.. If someone that you love is in a hospital, don't be afraid to visit them. If you don't, the next time you see them they may be laying in a casket..
